Dear Reality Community,
Gary loved singing at the mic!
With a heavy heart we write to you concerning our dear friend Gary Bennhausen. After a season of declining health, Gary died October 21, 2021. Gary has participated in Reality Ministry since the early days, when Reality had only one evening group a week. Many of you may have known him from that first Reality evening group, dancing in talent shows or playing basketball for Special Olympics.
He has been an integral part of our community, and we feel his loss deeply. At Reality, we walk together in friendship through all of life, even to the end. This is part of our mission, and it is a great privilege. Knowing Gary through to the end of his life was an incredible gift.
I pray many of you were able to receive the gift that was Gary Bennhausen.
The sadness we have for the loss of our friend Gary is deep, but we are also reassured that he is experiencing ultimate belonging in Christ’s love like never before. Join us as we pray for his family and dear friends.
